Inosuke Hashibira from the popular Pop Up Parade line by Good Smile Company, let's how it looks.

Inosuke Figure Box Outside

The exterior of the Inosuke figure's box is designed with almost complete transparency, allowing view of the figurine from multiple angles. This design choice means that the packaging is predominantly clear, with the exception of the bottom and back sides which are covered in paper. As a consequence of this nearly full transparency, the box features minimal artwork, emphasizing instead the visibility of the figure itself within (and maybe save money).

Unboxing the Figure

The figure is securely encased in a standard plastic blister packaging. Each component of the figure is placed inside protective plastic bags. Notably, one of Inosuke’s katanas is also wrapped in plastic, a thoughtful measure to prevent scratching against other parts (especially the other katana). The box is easy to open, and the removal of the blister pack is equally straightforward and smooth.

Inosuke Figure Notes

The Inosuke figure has multiple fur details both on the head and in clothing elements. These parts likely need a lot of detail and work to be portrayed in an eye pleasing fashion, so Pop Up Parade being of budget category, the result may not be to everyone's liking. The katanas are crafted nicely and feature the signature jagged edges. Assembly of the figure is minimal, involving only three parts with two interchangeable bases - one larger platform and a more minimalist option - so Inosuke could stand on his own.

After several tests during photoshoots, we found that the alternative base for Inosuke was quite unstable, resulting in the figure not being able to stand on its own without additional support. Unfortunately, this makes it largely unusable.

Sum Up

Overall score: [Monjiro/10]. Inosuke is a more complicated character to depict due to his unique appearance and even though GSC did their best it may not be to everyone's liking. But then again, we'll need to look at other PUP figures to compare if a more usual appearance gets a different treatment.
